They were out for the day. It was Easter Monday, and the excursion train was very slow. "Mrs. Mac Guinness," said Mrs. Murphy, from her corner of the third-class compartment, "our cheap tickets have cost us three fardcn=s a mile. It's daylight robbery !" Mrs. Mac Guinness was not so sure. "•Well, my dear," she replied, "it all depends on how you look at it. It's awful cheap if you reckon it by the hour —not more than sixpence, you know !"
