Inquiries made from the Defence Department ehow that sufficient horses are now available for the ex peditionary force. Some trouble waß experienced in getting the necessary horseß for the artillery, as the animals required were of a sturdy, heavy tpye, but thanks largely to the efforts of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, which has given the Defence Department every assistance within its power, this difficulty has now been overcome. The horsea will be shipped from the various districts by the troop Bhips. Somethnig between 3000 and 4000 horses will be necessary for the whole force. For chronic chest complaints,— Woods' Great Peppermint Cure, Is 6d and 2a 6d.
