APPEAL TO THE DISTRICT In connection with the proposals of the Defence Department in connection with the providing of funds and equipment in the present critiin, the Mayor of Te Kuiti, Mr J. Boddie, conferred with the chairman of the Waitomo County Council, Mr A. fcjcholes, concerning the best method of orgunisir-.g the matter in the district. It was decided that each district; should be given the opportunity of contributing separately to the fund. It was decided to forward copies of the circulars to tea following who are requested to pay all moneys received into the Bank of New Zealand, through wnich the amounts will bo forwarded to Wellington free of charge.
