By Telesrapli.—Press Asaociation.-^Copjrrigfii It is now officially announced that the British troops have landed . in Belguim and are operating with the Belgian and French Forces. Particulars to hand of several engagements indicate that the Belgians and French are holding the enemy in check at various points and several important captures are reported. , Turkey iias purchased the German warships Goeben and Breslau and complications may arise in consequence. Turkey has declared her neutrality to France. Financial conditions at Home are becoming greatly improved. The Government,has guaranteed the Bank of England, and operations .are now being resumed throughout the Empire. Week old newspapers in Berlin disclose the fact that Britain's declaration of war was riot made public in Germany. "A German refugee in Denmark states Socialist leaders in Berlin have. been shot, and the city is practically in a state of revolution.
