PEOPLE'S PICTURE PALACE.
$ TOWN HALL RENOVATED OPENING ON TUESDAY The scheme of impovemonta and alteration in connection with tho Ta Kuiti Town Hall is now almost completed, and the building is rapidly being transformed into an up-to-date picture theatre. In addition to the necessary alterations in the floor the hail has been redecorated and painted throughout, while provision has been made for separate entrances to the various seats. Tho furnishing arrangements are in excellent taate and nothing has been left undone to provide for the comfort of patrons. The most modon appliances for the production of perfect cinematograph effects have been secured by the management, and the films have been specially chosen with a view to producing only the beat. It was intended to open the picture palace on Monday evening but it has now been dacided to fix the opening night for Tuesday and to devote the proceeds of the entertainment ta tho Patriotic Fund. Prices fur admission will be the minimum of Gd for front seats and Is for back seats,but an opportunity will be afforded all those desirous at augmenting the Patriotic Fund of contributing any larger amount. For this purpose a special collection will be taken at the door. The directors are to be complimented upon their patriotic action in thus taking the firßt possible opportunity of assisting to swell the Fund which is being raised in the interests of the Empire.
