FOOTBALL.
The match for the Pukuweka Shield, between Te Kuiti and Otorobanga, which takes place . on the local ground on Saturday, is aroußing considerable interest. Both teims are training hard and a strenuous contest is anticipated. The rival teams have met on three occasions during the present season Te Kuiti winning twice and Otorohanga once. That there is not much between them ia indicated by the fact that on two occasions the margin of points between the teams was 3 puints, while the last meeting saw the margin narrowed to two points. An interesting game will be played as a curtain-raiser between Ootrohanga juniors and Nehenehe juniors, who will meet to decide the junior championship for the season The following have been chosen to represent Te I^qiti:—Full back,* Rowlands; three-quarters, Matthews, Schramm, Crean; five-eighths, Boles, Cole; half, Brumby; wing forward, McKinnon; forwards, Gray, Delaney, Rothery, Gray, O'Connell, Hunt, Kiti; emergencies, Thompson, V.
