WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER NOTICE is hereby given that at a Spacial Meeting of the Waitomo County Council, held on ths 20th day . of July, 1914, the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Waitomo County Council to be held on MONDAY the 17th day .of August, 1914: — "In the matter of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913." In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in. that behalf by Section 15 of the Local Bodies Loans Act. 1913, and amendments thereto, and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Eawa Special Rating Area in the Waitomo County hereinafter described testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers in the said Special Rating Area the Capital Value o? whose properties as appearing on ths Valuation Roll of the said County is collectively greater than the Capital Value of the property of the ratepayers who did not bo consent the Waitomo County. Council hereby resolves by way of a Special Order as follows:—That for the Durposes of reforming, culverting and metalling the Kawa road from the County boundary near Kawa, railway station to the bridge over the Waipa river and portions of the Ouruwhero road on each side of ths Kawa road, the Waitomo County Council hereby authorises the raising of a loan of £3500 at 4£ per cent, per annum for a period of 36J years and declares that the costs of raising the 3aid loan and ths first year's interest on the loan shall be payable out of the moniea so raised. ■The Kawa Special Rating Area comprises all the properties situated within the following boundaries:— Commencing from the Waipa at the North-west corner of Kakepuku No. 9B 2D, thence along 1 the North-Wes-tern boundary of the said section to the Mangawhero stream, thenje by the Managwhero stream to the Ouruwhero Road, thence by the said stream to the North-West cornerof section Kakepuku No. 8, thence along the North-Eastern boundary of the said section No. 8 and sections Kakepuku 9R No. 5, Ouruwhero No. 3E 5, Ouruwhreo No. 3 03 to the County boundary, thence along the County boundary to the railway line to the Southern bounary dary of Ouruwhero No. I,thence along the Southern boundaries of sections Ouruwhero No. 1 No. 1A and the Southern boundary of a native reserve part of the Southern boundary of section 13 of block xiii., Puniu Survey District, part section 23 block xvi., Pirongia Survey District, Ouruwhero 3F No 2. to the Waipa river, thence by the Waipa river in a northerly direction to the starting point. RATES 1914-1915 PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given "that it ia the intention of the Te Kuiti Borough Council, in pursuance of the provisions of Section 78 of "The Municipal Corporations Act 1908", and Section'sl of "The Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1913", also Sections 48 to 55 of "The Rating Act 1908", and amendments thereto; at its next Meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, Rora street, on MONDAY, the 10th day of August 1914 at 7.30 p.m. to confirm the striking and levying of the following rates for the rating period Ist April 1914 to 31st March 1915. (1) A General Rate of Two pence three farthings (2|d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all ratable properties on the Valuation Roll of the Borough.' (2) A Special Rate (£27,275 Various Works Loan) of One penny three farthingß (lfd) in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all ratable properties. (3) A Special Rate (£7035 Electric Light Loan) One penny (Id) in the £on the Unimproved value of all ratable properties. (4 % . A Special Rate (£13,000 Streets Improvement and Water Supply Loan) of Three farthings (£d) in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all ratable properties. (5) A Separate Water Rate of Three farthings (fd) in the £on the Unimproved Value, in accordance with Section 51 of "The Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1913." ■ ""The said rates will become due and payable on the 31st day of August 1914 to the Rate Collector, Borough Offices, Te Kuiti. The Estimates upon which the above-mentioned rates were struck, having been approved of by the Council, are, together with the Rate Book, open for public inspection at the Borough Offices, Rora street, during office hours.
