Mr Balmswortb, addressing a vast audience delivered a remarkable speech, during which he referred to the deportation uf the leaders of the last general strike. "Every industrial home," be said, "will rejoice at the termination of the Botha-Smuts regime. If Christ Himself came to South Africa He would be deported."
