BIG MINING SCHEME.

TO DEVELOP WAIHI TUNNEL SIX MILES LONG BRITISH CAPITAL OFFERED Waihi, Tuesday. Mr J. W. Walker, who recently returned from London, has arrrived in Waihi. In an interview this morning ho outlined an important mining scheme for prospecting the Waihi field. He proposes, if certain concessions are granted by the Mines Department, to drive a tunnel from the sea coast to Waihi, live or six miles, with numerous cosscuts. He is to lay the Echeme before the Borough Council, the Miners' Union and the public with a vhw to co-operation. Mr Walker states that he ia assured of an abundance of British capital if the required mining concessions ore granted.
