Tlie ladies' committee interested in the Premier's reception, held a pleasant social fanotion in the Municipal Hall on Friday evening, a "® Bt en " ioyable time being spent. The proceeds of the function were handed over by the committee to Professor Swallow, who has forwarded a letter of thanks for the donation.
