CANADIAN COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. By Telegraph.—Press Association.— Copyright Received Tuesday, 9.35 p.m. Ottawa, Tuesday. Mr Beddoe, Trade Commissioner to New Zealand, reports that New Zealand exporters are arranging with San Francjqco and New York importers to accept increased consignments The Canadian trade is likely to be affected if New Zealand's tariff on United States manufactured articles be reduced. Strong pressure ia apparent to ensure thiß, New Zealand exporters naturally favouring concessions to a country which opened to them new markets. On the other hand strong feeling prevailed of dealing within the British Empire's confines if such can be done advantageously.
