PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT.

ARRIVING ON THURSDAY. ADDRESS IN TOWN HALL. The Prime Minister, Rt. Eon. W. P. Massey, will arrive at Te Kuiti on Thursday morning by the eleven o'clock express from Wellington. He will be entertained at luncheon at the Commercial Hotel by the Mayor of Te Kuiti, Mr J. Boddie, and councillors. During the afternoon the Prime Minister will receive deputations in the Municipal Chambers, and a considerable number of important matters have already been arranged to bring before the Minister. In the evening Mr Massey will de-

liver a public address in the Town Hall, and will deal with the chief political questions of the day. After the public meeting the Prime Minister will be entertained at a public banquet, and will leave by the 2 a.m. express for Auckland. On Thursday afternoon the Prime Minister will be entertained at the Municipal Chambers by the ladieß to afternoon tea. On Thursday afternoon last a meeting of ladies, at which Mrs Boddie presided, made arrangements in connection with the reception which was fixed to be held between 3 and 4 p.m. It was decided to extend a hearty invitation to all the ladie? of the town and district, and a committee comprising the wives of the Mayor and, councillors, together with Mesdames Lamb and Hine, was appointed to carry out the details. In order to give residents north and south of Te Euiti an opportunity of hearing the Prime Minister's speech, arrangements have been made for the train which usually leaves for the south at 9.45 p.m. to be detained until 10.30 p.m., and a passenger car will be attached. The train which usually leaves for the north at 9.50 p.m. will also be detained till 1.30 p.m.
