OTOROHANGA TOWN COUNCIL.
FORTHCOMING ELECTION.
The electioi of five members of the above takes place on Wednesday, the 29th inst., at Turner's Hall, Otorohanga, from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m. At the same time and place, the polling for a municipal hall loan takes place. Great interest is being taken in the election, and to the man in the street, it is the principal topic of conversation. There are thirteen candidates in the field, including the old councillors who are all seeking re-election, so that the voter has a good variety to select from. At the close ot the poll it is anticipated that there will be an eager crowd awaiting to hear the result from the returning office, Mr C. J. Johnson. The following is a list of the candidates:—■ Messrs C.. Elliott, W. Vicary, John Ormaby, H. Benner, J. Willis, H. Isaac, J. Haerdegen, J. A. Orm9by, F. Rue, C, Miller, C. Phillips, J. Crean, and Mrs H, M. Quin.
