At a largely attended meeting held last night the constitution of the Southland League, a body formed to advance the interests of the province, was consulsred and adopted. Th« movement is being taken up with much enthusiasm. It was decided to invite applications for the position of secretary at a salary of £4OO per annum, the secretary to devote his whole time to the work of the League.
