THE SUNNYSIDE FIRE.
THEORY AS TO ORIGIN. [BY TELEGKAPH.—PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Christcburch, This Day. A new theory as to the origin of the fire at the unnyside Mental [Hospital is advanced by the medical superintendent. "We do our best to wage war on birds," said Dr Gow, "and take all possible precautions to prevent them building in the eaves, but it is difficult to keep all nests clear, and I think it possible {that a spark from the engine room set alight to soe nest material under the roof, and so started the blaze." The damaged roof is now eovered with tarpaulins, and normal conditions are rapidly being reached.
