STOCK SALES. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report:— PIO PIO SALE. At Piu Pio on Thusday of last week we yerded 591 head of cattle and a few pens of sheep. There was a batter demand tor cattle than at late sales, and we "old practically the whole yarding. Prices:—Three year stedrs £5 7s 6d to £5 15s, two and a half year steers :£4 17s 6d to £5, 18 months steers £3 7s to £3 13a, fresh conditioned cows £3 10s to £3 17s 6d, fat <*ows £5 Is to £5 7s, two year dairy heifers in calf £3 15b to £4, cows and calves £4 12s 6d, calves 23s to 40s, full-mouth ewes 7s to Bs. WAIHOU SALE. At Waihou on Friday of last week we had a full yarding, consisting [of 1031 cattle, 32 hulls, 635 sheep and 92 pigs Competition for sheep and pigs was keen, but calves and store "cattle Were dull of sale. There was good demand for fat cows and bulls. Fat lambs made 14s 4d, full-mouth ewes 9s 6d to 12s 3d, store lambs 8s 4d to 8s Bd, smaller 4s lid to 6s 7d, well-grown calves 33s to 395, inferior sorts 20s to 27s 6d, dairy heifers in calf £3 12s 6d to £4 17s 6d, cow 3 and calves £4 12s 6d to £4 15f>, heavy fat cows £6 12s to £7 7s 6d, lighter £4 19s to £5 16s, fresh conditioned cows £4 to £4 ss, two and a half year steers £4 17-j, heavy bulls 7gns to BJgns, lighter 4$ -ns to sfgna, pigs, slips 7s to 10s, weaners 14s Gd to 17a 6d, porKers 28b to 30s 6d. At Ohaupo on Tuesday last, we had a medium entry of stock which were all required and realised the following prices:- Shorn lambs 8s to 9s 4d fat ewes 14s fat cows £6 5s to £6 123 6d fst heifers £5 lis. 18 months steers £3 7s 6d to £3 15s well grown calvea £1 15s to £2 8s 6d, others 24s to 30s 6d, two year heifers in calf £4 16s. FAT STOCK MARKET. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency reports: At Westfielo* yards on Wednesday fat catlle weie penned in less numbers than usual, and showed a slignt improvement in price on last week's quotations, b?st oxen selling to 30s per 1001b, others 25s to 295. cows and heifers 20s to 26s per 1001b, steers £6 10s to £l2 12s 6d, cows and heifers £3 10s to £8 17s 6d. A small draft of 40 3teers and stags from Mr F- Manning, Moumoukai, averaged £lO 15s. Veal calves cams forward in usual numbers, and sold at late rates. No heavy weights were yarded. Medium weight £3 10s to £3 15s. lighter £2l 0s to £3 3s, smaller 30s to 455, others 10s to 28s, freah dorpped 3s to 9s. Sheep were yarded in average numbers, and old at late rates. Best wethers sold at from 21s 9d to 23s 6d, others 16s to 21s, ev?es extra heavy 17s 3d to 21s 3d, others 13s 6d to 17?, inferior fatted lis 6d to 13s 3d. Lambs in less numbers than usual. Best 15s 9d to 18s, others 9s 9d to 13s 9d. Pigs came forward in very large rumbjrs, and declined in price. Baconers £2 15s to £3 Bs, large porkers £2 to £2 12s 6d, porkers 28s to 395, slips 15s to 235, weaners 5s to 14s 6d. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Limited, report on their Johnsonville sale as follows: — A fair entry of bullocks and nheep came forward, and sold at the following prices: - Prime heavy bullocks £ll 10s to £ll 15s, lignter £lO 5s to £lO 17s 6d, vealers 20s, prime heavy wethers 21s 6d, lighter 20s, good ewes 16s 6d to 17s 6d, fak lambs 13s 9d to 14s.
