Stevenson in the second preliminary heat for the world's billiards championship to-day, the final scores reading— Reece ..'. 9000 Stevenson ••• 8885 Reece's win ... H 5 It was an exciting finish. Each man paid ten visits to the table, and both adopted safety play, Stevenson totalling 34, and Reece 95. Both were nervous and missed several easy shots. Reece, in his eleventh visit, ran out. He made a fluke at 8947 when he missed a loser, and pocketed the red. This was the firat time on which Reece has met Stevenson en level terms. REECE LEADS IN FINAL. London, Monday. The final of 18,000 up was started after the conclusion of the ReeceStevenson match. At the end of the evening's play Reece was in the lead, the scores being:— T.
