COUNTY RATEPAYERS' ASSOCIATION.

THE RIDING MEETINGS

The meeting of ratepayers in the Hangatiki riding of the Waitomo County Council convened for Saturday lost for the purpose of appointing a delegare on the County Ratepayers' Association wan poorly attended. After the matter had b«en discussed by those present the i'o!lowing resolution, moved by Mr ■>. Scboles and seconded by Mr 2. Turieh, was carried:—''That this meeting of ratepavers of the Hangatiki riding take no further action in regard to appointing a delegate to the Waitomo County Ratepayers' Association as at preaert constituted." With reference to the meeting of the Paomako riding ratepayers, which was to have been held last sale day, it was found that the majority of the ratepayers ware too busy with stock to spam the time for a meeting, and a further meeting has been called for Saturday next.
