Labour leaders in Wellingt)n are viewing the approach of winter with some alarm, fearing that serious hardship will be the lot of many along the waterfront. A reporter was informed that there are about 600 men in excess of requirements. The export trade in wool is slackening, remarked an official, and the men hitherto working in the wool stores are now swelling the list of those seeking employment on the waterfront. It is stated that the Watersiders' Union ia doing all that is possible to secure employment fir the men now out of work.
