TE KUITI METHODIST CHURCH.

The second anniversary of the Methodist Church was celebrated on Sunday and Thursday last. The services on Sunday were conducted by the Rev. P Rattey, and were of an encouraging character. On Thursday*evening a pubiic meeting was held in the Municipal Hall. Mr R. B. Webber, one of the circuit stewards, presided over a large gathering, and in a short speech referred tc the establishment of the church two years ago, and its progress and prospects. The Rev. F. M. Beattie, also gave a short address. Apologies for absence were received frum Revs, E. S. Wayne and S. Griffiths, who also sent their greetings and good wishes. Musical iteraa were rendered by the following—: Violin and piano duet, Mrs and Miss Mackay; Ronga by Misßes Butcher and Daniel, and Messrs Smerdon, Pattison, and Guy; duet, Mr and Mrs Elliott; quartette, Miss and Master Daniel, S. Nicholla and P. Battev; elocutionary items, Messrs G. Elliott, W. Megson, and P Batey; xonophone selections, Mr Hopkins. Mrs Elliott, in a very efficient manner, acted as accompanist. At the close of the programme refreshments were served. The collections on Sunday and Thursday realised a good total, and were in aid of the Trust Fund of the church. r^-^^m.
