FIRE AT AUCKLAND.
CAUSED BY GAS EXPLOSION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Auckland, This Day. A two-storey shop at the corner of Cook and Vincent streets, owned by Mrs Wilson and occupied by H. A. Merson, grocer, was destroyed by fire at 2 o'clock this morning. The outbreak originated in a violent explosion, presumably an escape of gas.
