AMUSEMENTS.
EMPRESS PICTURES. "Wild Animala at Large."—The circus having finished a performance in the location, has safely entrained for the next town, but juat as the train was reaching its destination a trujk accidently overturned, bringing about a wreck. The cages containing the animals were thrown open, and the animals let loose. Occasionally a lion is seen to exchange compliments with a bear, while the snarling of a hyena causes a herd of kangaroos to scud past, making their way up the bank towards the town, followed by the rest of tha medley of strange creatures. The keepers arrive, and some of the bolder spirits of the inhabitants creep from their hiding places'and repair to an inn °to stimulate their shattered nerves. A further shock awaits them, however, causing the revellers to climb on the bar and wonder if it is reality of whether they are "seeing things."
