SNOWSTORM IN NEW YORK.
♦ SEVENTEEN LIVES LOST. New York, Monday. Severe snowstorms are raging along the north-east coast and the Upper Hudson Valley, the snow lying two feet deep. The transportation systems are everywhere dislocated, and seventeen deaths are reported. A gale with a temperature below zero is adding to the Buffering.
