INDECENT LITERATURE. BOOK DESTROYED BY ORDER. Received this day, 8.10 a.m. By Telegraph-—Press Association.—Copyright Sydney, This Day. Recently the police seized at Chidley's rooms 1700 copies of his book "The Answer," and copies of the pictures and photo slides used in the production of the book. Chidley was charged with being the occupier of premises where indecent publications were found. He waa convicted and sentenced to two months' imprisonment, the sentence being suspended pending an appeal, under sureties for good behaviour for twevle months. The confiscation of the books and pictures was ordered.
