Those contemplating studying practical book-keeping or being prepared for the accountancy or book-keepers' examinations, the diploma of which last-named ia granted by tbe"New Zealand University, in conjunction with the New Zealand University, in conjunction with the New Zealand Society of Accountants, will be interested to hear of the con sistent successes achieved by candidates prepared by Hemingway and Rubertson'a Correspondence School. Nina hundred and eighty-one candidates prepared by this school have been successful in the above examinations, and the official returns of last November show that Hemingway and Robertson's candidates secured first and third place in the final degree; first, in part, and second place in the intermediate degree; and first place in the university book-keeping examination. Two candidates tied for third honours, and both these were students of Hemingway and Robertson's Correspondence School. These successes make 23 honours places and first prizes won by students of Hemingway and Robertson in open competition to all New Zealand. Ihe percentage of passes was 77. At last year's exaimnation 29 candidates passed the final and qualified for admission to the New Zealand Soiety of Accountants, 19 of these were students of Hemingway and Robertson. The total number of passes in all New Zealand was 154. Of these 91 were secured by Hemingway and Robertson's correspondence student pasisng 'an professional examinations, held last November, and over 100 matriculation; Civil Service, and other public examinations.
