SLAUGHTERMENS' DEMANDS.

After having interviewed the Industrial Registrar, the carcase butchers were'granted the slaughtermen's demands as cabled yesterday.

The butchers declare that unless the men's unreasonable demands cea'e the public will have to pay halfpenny to penny pound more for their meat and the pastoralists will have to take less for their cattle.

The Victorian slaughtermen have also been conceded an increase as a result of the conference.
