FAT STOCK SALES, The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. reports:— At Westfield yards on Wednesday fat cattle were penned in average numbers, and prices were a shade easier than last week, best oxen sell ing to 29s 6d per lOOlbs, others 25s to 28s, cows and heifers 23s to 27s 6d. Steers sold at from £7 10s to £l3, cows and heifers £4 to £8 15s. Veal came forward in large supply and sold at lower rates. Heavy vealers sold at from £3 15s to £4 ss, medium weights £2 10s to £3 7s, lighter £1 10s to £2 Bs, small 20s to 28s, smaller and fresh dropped 3s to 15?. Sheep were penned in average numbers, and sold at lower rates, best wethers selling at from 17s 9d to 21b 9d, others 15a 9d to 17s fid, ewes, extra heavy 10s 3d to 17a 9d, others 10s 6d to 15s 9d, Lambs yarded in full numbers, and advanced in prices, selling at from 15s (3d to 19s 6d for best quality, others 10s (3d to 15-5 3d gtore lambs 8s 3d to 10s 3d. Pigs were yarded in extra large numbers and sold at lower rates, baconers selling at from £2 8s to £2 12s 6d, large porkers 33s to 455, porkers 25s to 325, slips 15b to 225, weaners 8s 6d to 12s. Messrs Abraham and Williams Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows: A fair yarding of bullocks and a heavy one of sheep came forward. Bullocks sold well, but sheep were in too big supply. Prime bullocks £ll 12s 6d fo £ll 17s 6d, lighter £ll to £ll ss, light £lO 12s Id, prime heavy wethers 22s 2d, prime wethers 21s 3d, lighter 19b, prime ewes 18s, lighter 17s to £1 7s, 3d medium ewes 15s 9d to 16s 3d, prime lambs 15s 6d to 16s, lighter 16s.
