The weather was fine rmd the wicket good. South Australia in the first inning J compiled 281— Man ye 2S, Crawford 91, Steele 28, Pillow T>7, were the chief scorerß. M.issie three for 80, Kelleway three for Til, Folkßrd three for 63, and Mailey on« for GO, were the most destructive bowlers.
