R. AND C. ASSOCIATION.
At the monthly meeting of the TV Kuiti Ratepayers' and Citizens' Association it was resolved that steps be taken to place a carrier's letter box at some convenient point where messages could be left by the business people and the public generally for the various expressmen. A letter was read from the Newmarket Borough Council stating that a large deputation was being arranged to meet one of the Ministers with a view to securing Newmarket .Junction as a stopping place for Main Trunk expresses, and it was resolved that, K possible, the association should send a representative. Regret was expressed that: the Railway Department does not yet, see its way to admit of excursion tickets on Main Trunk expresses between Auckland and any station north of Taumarunui and further representations are to be made to the Department on this subject.
