William McCloud, who is running a Wild West show at the Auckland Exhibition Show, was arrested on a charge of discharging a pea rifle at William Oxenham at Epsom. It was stated in evidence that the latter was trying to quieten a restive horse. McCloud came out of his tent and said, "Cut out that language" Oxenham replied. "There■ i? no language to cut out." McCioui went back into the tent: ami returned with a pea rifle whit'h'hi: fired, the bullet going near Oxenhani. .lust, before i lie police went to niT'-si: him jNicCinud tired a revolver phot at the. feet of a boy who had looked into the lent out of curiosity. McCloud wae before the court, and was remanded for a week, bail being allowed.
