The half-yearly meeting oi the Druids Pride of Te Kuiti Lodge is to be held on Tuesday next at 7.30 p.m. and a cordial invitation is extended to all visiting brethren. The steamer Moana has sent a wireless message stating that eleven of the crew of the schooner Alvaredo ; bound to Autofagasta, are marooned on Easter Island, in the Eastern Pacific. After abandoning the Alvaredo the captain and several volunteers sailed in a lifeboat from Easter Island for Papeete, nearly 2400 miles away, leaving the others to await a rescue.
