LYTTELTON BY-ELECTION.
The writ for the Lyttelton by-elec-ttion has been issued and is returnable before December 28th. It is understood that the election wili take place on Tuesday, December 9th. The brother of the late member, Mr J. B. Laurenson, is announced as the official Opposition candidate for Lyttelton. He is president of the Industrial Association, vice president of the Employers' Association, and a prominent ironmaster.
