A DROP IN PRICES. [nv ■n-.trnKAriT. —nvrss association'. ] Napier, Monday. Tug jiii-nt wool sale of the season was held to-day before a full bench of buyers, numbering 3P. The catalogues totalled 14,825 bales, as against 13,000 for the firpt sale last season. Prices showed a drop of :> penny to twopence in sympathy with the Auckland sale. Competition was keen up to a certain figure, bill a big quantity wag passed in in ihehope of an early rise in prices. The wool was not nearly in such good condition as last year, being heavy in grease.
