That good work is being accomplished by the Te Kuiti Horticultural Society is indicated by the increase in the number of entries in the cottage garden competition year by year. At the first competition held by the Society the entries totalled five. Last year seven gardens competed, while this year the entries reached the respectable total of thirteen, and the competition was extremely keen,
