The Native Rating Amendment Bill has been reported for the Nativn Affairs Committee, with a number of machinery amendments involving no change of policy. Where native ratsti remain unpaid, the native authority may register a lien against tho land if they are nine months in arrears. Tha Bill as drafted provides for six months' grace.
