PRIME MINISTER'S HINT. IF STONEWALL CONTINUES. [MY TKLKURAPH.—I'RICSS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thiß Day. The Btonevvall is fitill in full blast. The House has been dicusaing fdr seven and a-half hours an amendment by Mr Russell to delete- the word "legislature" from the short title. So far only seven words of the Bill have passed. The Opposition have notice of over 100 amendments which they propose to move when the Bill is through. Just before the Hou e rose Mr Massey declared he intended to fight the matter to the bitter end. So for oa the Opposition amendments were concerned the members would find he was in a position to cut the Gordian knot. This is generally interpreted to mean a hint at dissolution. The House rose at 8.12 till 2.30 to enable members to attend the late Mr Laurenson's funeral.
