S. S. ATHENICS' CARGO. REASSURING STATEMENT. [BY TELKGRATII. —I'B.ESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Friday. The delay in shipping produce to England through the strike hnß naturally caused considerable uneasiness to dairy farmers who were looking forward to their monthly clißqueß on account of milk. The "Dairyman" is enabled to state that should unforseen circumstances arise before Monday, bills of lading covering the Athenic's shipment will be in the hands of the dairy company's bankers on that date, and cheques will be paid on the 20th a J usual. The shipment is expected to amount to 55,000 boxen of butter and 24,000 crates of cheese. This is the largest amount of cheese carried in one bottom from any port in New Zealand, and it is remarkable it should be shipped in the middle of a great strike.
