REMINDER TO COMPETITORS. Public attention throughout the district is directed to the Essay competition promoted by the Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce. The promoters have "furnished a number of suggestions concerning the lines upon which the essayists might construct their papers, but there is a wide field for the vivid imagination to explore, and there is little doubt avenues of thought will be opened up to the individual during the course of his or her efforts. Frizes ars offered for both competitors, and in offering the opportunity to the younger element of the community the commi!"f?e has laid the foundation 01 a scheme which may well be elaborated. The prosecution of the scheme to a considerable extent depends upon the support accorded to the initial coms.stitir-n. and it is to be honed the public will do their utmost to assist a'worthv object. It should be borne in mind that the essays are to be sent in by the end of the present month.
