Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Jobnsonville sale, held on Wednesday as follows —A large yarding of cattle and sheep came forward, priceß being fully maintained. Prime heavy oxen made £l2 10s to £l2 17a 6d, lighter £ll 10s to £l2 2s 6d, light £lO 10a to £lO 17s 6d. A fev/vealera realised from 25s 6d to 30s. Prime heavy wethers made 28a 9d to 84a 9d. lighter 25a, prime heavy ewes 27s Id to 29s lOd, lighter 253 to 26s 9d, good lambß made 16s Id, lighter 14s 4d to 15s 6d, light lis to 13s 4d.-

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report:— At Westfield yards on Wednesday fal cattle came forward in average numbers, and improved in prices on last week's quotations, best oxen selling to 32s per lOOlbs. others 28a to 31s, cows and beifers 26s to 29s per 1001b. Steers sold at from £7 17s 6d to £ls 12s 6d, corns and heifers £5 to £9 15s. A draft of 18 steers from Messrs R. and W. Gollan, Panmure, averaged £l4 10s 6d. Sheep were penned in full numbers, and declined in prices from Is to 2s per head. Best wethers, in wool, sold to 30s 3d, others 24b to 28b 9d, ewes 20s 9d to 26s 6u, shorn wethers 17s 6d to 22s 6d, ewaa 15s to 19a 9d. Lambs, in full supply, so'd at lower rates. Best quality 17s 6d to 20s 6d, others 12a 3d to 17s 3d, store do. 5? 6d to lis 9d. Calves came forward in large numbers and sold well. Extra heavy vealers sold at from £5 to £6 2s, heavy vealers ,24 4a to £4 15s, medium weights M2 12-3 to £3l Bs, lighter sorts 30s to 50s, smaller and fresh dropped 3s to ss. Pigs were penned in average supply and sold well. Baconers gold at from £4 to £4 18s, large porkers £2 17s to £3 12a, porkers 32s to 50s, slips 20s to 30s, weaners 13a to 16s. LONDON WOOL SALES. The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable from its London branch: — "The sales have closed very firm and prospects are good, there being a good demand for all kinds of wool. Total held over is 36,000 bales, of which 30,000 are New Zealand. "Current prices for North Jgland farmers' lots, average conditions: Coarse crossbred?, 36-40's quality, 10?; dto lid per lb; medium erosshreds, 44-4<j's quality, 10« dto Hid per lb; fine crossbreds, 50's quality, 12d to 13d per lb. South Island farmers' iots, Canterbury style: Inferior merinoe, common 60-64's quality, lOid to lid per lb; superior merinos, 60-64' a quality, 13?, dto 14Sd per lb half or quarter breds, 56'e quality, 13d to 14d per lb.
