MONTHLY MEETING. ! The monthly meeting of the Taraj naki Land Board waa held on Tnurs--1 day, the Commissioner of Crown j Lands (air G. Coxheacl. | APPLICATIONS FOR LAND. j An application was received from G. H. Broome for renewable lease of section 3, block 11, Totoro, area 265 acre. —Approved. H- George, selector of section G, block 13, Ohura. applied for a piece of Tatu township reserve, to improve hin fencing line. —It was resolved to defer for the ranger's report. TRANSFERS. The Registrar of the Supreme Court under power of sale applied to transfer section 6, block 10. Ohura, formerly held by D. H. Wille to Robert Murray, the mortgagee, who was compelled to buy in to protect his interests Area 684 acres. The mortgagee al3o applied to take in W. T. Shelverton as partner. solvsd that the two transactions be approved to enable a satisfactory settlement to be made. '■ John Bouit applied to transfer section 11, block 1, Matiere town, 36 perches education reserve lease, to W. K. Williams. —Approved. INTERESTS CANCELLED. H. Collins, who drew section 1, block 10, Mahoe, 529 acres, in May 22nd last, has abandoned his section. —lt was resolved to cancel his interest.
T. Aston holds section 21. block 12, Te Mapara-Tangitu Settlement, 170 acres. —It was resolved to declare his interest cancelled under section 50 of "The Land Act, 1908," as the section was neglected and the conditions of the license were not being fulfilled in a bona fide manner according to their intent and purport. RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS. W. Porter acquired section 9, block 10. Ohura, 192 acres, from McKinley and Williams on Ist ult., and on being notified of residence requirements stated that he ha 3 a lot of, business to attend to before he can permanently reside. —It was resolved to grant him six months' time to complete his arrangements and reside in a bona fids manner. APPLICATIONS FOR LICENSES.
An application by B. Hudson for issue of license for section 14, block 1, Tangitu, was approved. An application by R. M. Wiley for issue of license for section 4, block 11, Mapara, was approved. OHURA SCHOOL. The Ohura School Committee applied in July, 1912, for an additional area for accommodation of children's horses. The board refused to granted the sits applied for but resolved that if application was made for an ;are south of the domain t e application would be considered. In December, 1812, the committee renewed its former request for sections 27, 28 and 29, and it was resolved to adhere to the previous resolution. In February, 1913, the committe again renewed its request and the board adhered to its previous resolution. The survey of one acre had been made and particulars had been sent forward for gazetting. The Auckland Education Board now applied for two acres and en closed copy of letter from the committee, in which it was stated tne Minister promised to give the land. — There wa3 no record of this, and it was resolved to adhere to the former resolution. GENERAL. A. J. Hose holds sections 4. block 1, Tangitu. 144 acres. The board decided that settlers in Tangitu whoso rent fell due on July Ist, 1911, should not bs called on to pay rent until July Ist, 1912. Hose claimed that he came within the resolution referred to. —It was resolved that the selector be informed that his request cannot be granted.
