♦ - NEW ZEALAND'S POPULARITY. London, Monday. Following the decision of the War Office not to serve frozen mutton to Home stations, Mr T. Mackenzie, New Zealand High Commmißiioner,, has asked if the War Office is satisfied that genuine New Zealand mutton, where bo specified, was supplied, adding "If so; I am surprised at the War Office refusing to consider New Zealand mutton and lamb, which are coming increasingly into public favour." Mr Mackenzie also aBkB whether the meat ha> been properly treated for cooking purposes.
