At a conference of the executive of the Civil Service Association it was resolved to make the strongest representations to the Commissioners that civic rights be granted to public servants. A protest was entered against the practice of deducting amounts from the salaries of civil servants to compensate the State for the defalcations of fellow officers. A committee was set up to consider matters in connection with the publication of the Civil Service Journal.
