Own Correspondent. The euchre party and dance in aid of the school prize fund was held in the Hangatiki hall in a very pleaBant evening was spent. People were present from Te Kuiti, Otorchanga, Waitumo and surrounding districts. The ladies' prize, a handsome clock, donated by Mr F H. Hyde, was won by Mrs Scholee, who did not lose a game. The ladies' booby prize wa3 carried off by Miaa Comer. The gentlemen's prize, a substantial pair of military hair brushes, was won by Mr Ben Board, who won eleven games. The gent'a booby prize fell to Mr Arthur. The prizes were fittingly distributed b.v the chairman of tha school committee, Mr W. Parlane. The euchre tournament terminated very successfully st 11- o'clock, and the floor wa? then cleared lor dancing, which was kept up till three o'clock.
