"I am in receipt of your letter uf the 4th inst.. covering a petition from Mr H. S'harpe and other settlsra between Te Kuiti and Foro o-tarao, asking that provision be made for a grant towards the opening up of ihe Te Kuiti-Poro-o-tarao road; and, in reply, have to state that the request will be duly considered in connection with the preparation of the Estimates. " ARIA ROAD GRANTS. "I am in receipt of your letter of the 2nd inst, covering a petition signed by Mr C. J. Riddl* and other settlerß in the Aria district requesting that grants be provided for certain works in that district, a list of which U attached thereto; and in reply, have to Btate that these matters will be duly comidered in connection with the preparation of the Estimates." TANGITU-ARIA ROaD. "lam in receipt of your letter of the 3rd inst. covering one from Mr R. T. Allen, of Aria, urging that provision be made for opening up the road between Mokauiti and Aria; and, in reply, have to Htate that the reque3t will be duly considered in connection with the Estimate?.'"
