Newton King reports: — At Stony River yards on 3rd inst., there was a good entry and attendance with a good enquiry and competition for all lines with the exception of several pens cf yearling heifers. Mixed yearlings made £2 63 to £2 9a 6d, goad ilnea cf yearling steera £2 Is Sd to £2 la Gd, yearling heifers £2 12s to £2 15s, bulls £4 Josto£s, 2 year steer 3 £3 15s to £4 s°, 2 year empty heifers £3 16s to £4 2s 6d, good Btore cows £7 9s, forward bullock £7, dairy cows on account of Mr J. Westgarth from £6 5s to £l4, stores £3 10s to £4 15s, on account of sundry vendors —dairy cows £7 5s to £9, springing heifers £5 to £G 10s, slip pigs 19s to 2Ss 6d. Private Sales—During the week I have sold privately at the following rates:—Jersey Hilstein yearling heifers, nice lines £4 4s to £4 ss, mixed yearilngs £2 10s, yearling steers £2 15s to £3, store cows £4 5s to £4 12s Gd, empty 2 year grade heifers £3 17s Gd to £4, fat bullocks £lO ss, nice line of 3 year steers £6 os, 'Jersey springing heifers £7 to £lO 10s, grade springing heifers £6°to £6 ss, f.m. ewes in lamb 17s 6d to lis, good lines of hoggeta 15s.
