ASSESSMENT COURT.

SITTING AT TE KUITL At sitting of the Assessment Court was held at Te Kuiti tin Wednesday. Mr E. Rawson. S.M., presided, and the assessors were Messrs T. de Vere Hunt and H. J. Mussen for the department; W. Vicary. Waitomo County Council and Otorohanga Town Board: and J. F. Vercoe, Te Kuiti Borough Council. The department was repre, sented by Messrs J. A. McGowi-n officer in charge of the Auckland district, and H. A. Ellison, district valuer, to support the recently-framed valuations.

Out of some thirty objections from different districts only four attended to support their objections, which were satisfactorily adjusted. With respect to the objections from the Ohura district, it is probable a coint sitting will be unnecessary as the objections are of a trivial nature.
