Newton King reports;: — On Tuesday, 26th August, in my JRaiiotu yards I had a good entry, all pens and races being well filled. There was a good attendance of buyers, making competition brisk, for all classes. On August 27th for Mr R. Clemow's clearing sale at Omata there was a good attendance. Competition for the sheen was very keen, each line selling at top prices. The dairy he.id was not up to expectations, the cows having been in milk since May and June and sold accordingly. Some very nice springing heifers were offered, these selling from £6 to ,£S ss, dairy cows from £4 5s to £S 5?. empty heifers £3 16s 6d, yearling heifers £3 is, yearling steers, rough £2 Os (sd, calves 10s to 21s, f.f.m. ewes in lamb 16s 7d, Hampshire ewes and lambs 245, good line of woolly hoggets 16a -Id, 2th wethers 17s, small hoggets 9s 9d, f.m. ewes 10s 6d, sundries at satisfactory prices.
