Mr Phillip Snowden, M.P., in an article in the Christian Commonwealth, says that the Independent Labour party is a myth. It sits in Parliament because four fifths of its members have made arrangements with Liberals. The Chesterfield byelection clearly indicated that the Labour party had not the solid support of either trade unionists or the working class generally. ________■
