PIO PIO-MAIROA ROAD.
It, was recently announced that the application for £2OOO for the metalling of the Pio Pio-Mairoa road had received the provisional approval of the department, and in reply to a request for a subsidy for the loan the following reply has been received by Mr C. K. Wilson, member for the district, from the Minnie;: of Public Works: "1 am in receipt of your If iter of the 20th inst., covering a petition from Mr H. G. Andrews, and other settlers, with reference to a subsidy towards the metalling of the Mniroa road: and, in reply, have to state chat, the representations made on the subject are noted and will have my consideration when dealing with the Estimates."
