The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., report: — At the Westfield yards on Wednesday fat cattle were yarded in average numbers, and sold at fully lat3 rates. The quality throughout was good. Prime oxen sold to 333 per 1001b, second quality 28s to 31s, cows and heifers 24s to 295, steers £8 10a to £l6 12s fid, cows and heifers £5 5a to £9 17s 6d. Veal calves cafrie forward in large numbers, and sold at late rates. Heavy] vealers made £4 4s to £4 18s, medium Weights £3 to £4, ilghter sorts £2 5s to £2 18s, small and freshdropped ;>3 to 30s. Sheep were yarded in average numbers, and improved m price on last week's quotations from Is to 2s per head. Best wethers sold at from 28s to 325, wethers 22s fid to 27s 9d, heavy ewes 24s to 265, others 20s to 245, hoggets 14s (id to 23s 6d. Pigs were yarded in average numbers, and sold at late rates. Baconers £4 17s (id, 1 irge porkers £3 to £<*, porkers £2 5s to £2 ISs, slips 25s to 335, weaners 8s 6d to 18s 66. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Jobnsonville sale as follows: —A good entry of bullocks and sheep came forward and sold readily, bullocks being keenly competed for. Prime heavy bullocks £l4 2s 6d to £l4 7s 6d, prime bullocks £l3 5s to £l3 7s fid, lighter £ll 10s to £ll 17s 6d, light £lO 17s fid, prime heavy wethers 29s 9d to 30s, prime wethers 27s 6d, lighter 25s to 265, light ewes 20b 2d,
